Ultrasound Pictures 2

Bean's heartbeat!

Ultrasound Pictures

Our bean!

March 16th, 8 1/2 weeks along

So March 16th was our first "real" ultrasound to hear the baby's heartbeat and to measure the baby as well.
It's amazing how clear the heartbeat was, it was clear as day at 158 bpm.
The baby measured at 1.47 cm!

Nate wasn't able to come, so my mother in law, Ellen came. She was fascinated by the trans-vaginal ultrasound and the all so famous wand.
It was an amazing experience, I cried both times when the baby was on the screen and then again when we were listening to the heartbeat.

I'm going to have our first pre-screen to check if the baby has Downs and then on April 13th we'll have our end of our 1st trimester appointment. Nate won't be able to come to that appointment so I will make sure that my ob doesn't show me the sex of the baby on the ultrasound. We will get the results of the pre-screen at that appointment. Then 4 weeks after that appointment I will make the appointment on a Friday so Nate can come to the appointment and we will find out the sex then. I can't believe just 8 weeks from now we'll know if our baby is a boy or a girl!

I'm starting to have major crazy dreams at night. Poor Nate he's been having to endure all the crazy fits I've been having at night, during my sleep.

Here are the pictures of our bean (now grape's) heartbeat and the picture of our bean too!

Thanks for reading!

March 1st & 2nd!

March 1st!
I'm going to be going to the Andaluz BirthCenter in Tualatin, I can't wait!

March 2nd!
I'll be going to my first prenatal appointment, I am looking forward to seeing the baby and finding out how far along I really am! It's hard telling people "I don't know how far along I am" when people ask me..I feel a little foolish.
I'm hoping to no longer feel foolish after Wednesday!

I will update this post after my appointments!

Wahoo!

 Pregnancy Ticker

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 6 months and last month we had had a chemical pregnancy. We were really upset and felt like we were on an emotional roller coaster. Since we started trying, I had been praying that God would bless us with a baby to be due in October. My husband's Dad had passed away October 24th, 2009. That month is never one we look forward to coming, so I thought it'd be great to give the family something to look forward to!

Today was already a special day, my husband and I were bringing our marriage into the church and sharing a luncheon at our house with our family afterwards. But at 4:15a our day went from special to extra special!

I woke up to go potty and had all my HPT tests ready to go! I did 2 cheapie tests and a First Response. Just in case! All three came up double lined and positive!

I went back to bed at 4:30a and my husband asked if everything was okay (if I was constipated) and I said no. I just went potty..and I'm pregnant. He asked how many tests I took and then for the next hour we couldn't sleep. We weren't sure if we should be excited yet or not. When you try and the prior month you miscarry, the excitement isn't as ready as it would if you haven't gone through that. I reassured him that the HPTs are 99.8% accurate but being the personality my husband is, he said he would be ready to be excited at my first prenatal appointment March 2nd. I'll have a blood test at that appointment also.

Even before I took the tests, I knew I was pregnant. I was eating pepperoni like it was going out of style and didn't have any problems in the bathroom. Usually it beats me up after I eat pepperoni pizza but I had been eating it for a good week and everyday and nothing. I had heartburn and constipation and I was nauseous at night. I wasn't able to sleep on my side or my stomach because my boobs are super sore. And actually, sleeping on my back isn't all that great either.

I can't wait for March 2nd to get the pregnancy confirmation done and to find out how far along I am. All the sites say different things..it's very confusing!

Our prayers are different now, now we pray that God will bless this baby and help him/her to grow healthy and strong. I'm so thankful that we get to pray this prayer!
