22w u/s pictures

22 weeks, Echo-Cardiogram, Flutters, oh my!

So at 22 weeks, June 24th, we went in for Sunnie's Echo Cardiogram and the actual Echo took quite awhile because she wouldn't stay still long enough to really do the heartbeat test. But thankfully after an hour and a half we were finally through and then the Dr told us that everything looked great! Her heart is normal, her size is perfect, not too big or too small and there's a perfect amount of amniotic fluid. So yay for me with the blood sugars! It's a major answer to prayers that she's developing so well!

Later on that night, I was laying in bed and I felt flutters of her moving around. It was fantastic! I felt her again this morning. I can't wait to feel her again! :o)

Here are updated belly pictures and I'll scan her U/S pictures in soon too!

20w 1d--halfway home!

I can't believe I've reached the halfway point already. People have been asking me where we are going on my babymoon. Well I am going to Vegas next Wednesday, my cousin (who is much like my younger brother) is getting married there. The trip my husband and I will take together will be in July on a road trip to North Dakota. It's going to be relaxing and fun..and HOT! :o)

I'm happy to say that I look more pregnant now than I did a few weeks ago, so that's nice to get out of the "i'm pregnant but really i look fatter" time.

Sunnie is doing well, growing strong and healthy. I have yet to feel her kick, but people are telling me it will probably happen on the airplane as we're getting ready to take off. We shall see.

I've been talking to her a lot both in Korean and English. I want her to get used to the sound of Korean so that when she arrives she won't be totally confused. :o)

Here's a picture of my belly! I've got to update Sunnie's scrapbook now too!

Til next time!

Belly & U/S Pictures!

18w6d

Hi all!

Since our last post, we had our 18 week anatomy and growth ultrasound! It was Nate's first ultrasound he was able to come to. It was fun, he was able to see the baby moving around and asked his share of questions too.

We found out that the baby is a GIRL, Sunnie Grace. Who knew that 3 dots meant girl? Well I know now!

She has all her fingers and toes and her spine looks great too! You will see in the pictures I post!

I have an appointment with my perinatalogist tomorrow to monitor my blood sugar. He specializes in high risk diabetes pregnancies. He said we have a high chance of carrying her to term. Which would be an answer to prayer, since I don't want to be induced, have an epidural, or a c-section. My heart is to go au-natural!
I will make my appointment for my echo-cardiogram for late June (after my trip to Vegas). Nate's brother will probably go to that appointment with me--it's to make sure that the baby's heart is developing correctly and there's enough blood flow going to the heart. It's scary, but essential since I may have always had diabetes even pre-baby, but just not as noticeable until now.

I'm optimistic that all will go well!

Thus far, I have gained 10#, I'm pretty happy about that! :o)

Here are pictures of my belly and pictures of Sunnie too!
