Wednesday, the 11th, was my normal appointment with my ob and my husband's first appointment with her too.
It was pretty uneventful, I think he was hoping for an ultrasound to find out the sex of the baby. He's growing pretty antsy to find out..the weeks can't go by fast enough it seems.
The student that was there did the heart doppler and found the heartbeat 150 after a few minutes and guiding from me as to where she needed to go.
I started on insulin last night, I'm taking it once a day at bedtime to work to get my resting blood sugar down. Every 3 days I will increase my units by 2. I started at 5 units which apparently is pretty low.
I will have appointments every 2 weeks instead of 4 weeks until my resting blood sugar is maintained at a level we all like.
I anticipate that we will know the sex by the end of this month. We shall see.
I'm feeling good, my belly continues to grow which is fun and exciting! I'm going to try my friend's belly butter she's been using for her belly (that is stretch mark free by the way!). It's quite spendy, but if I like it, I will splurge..it will be worth not having an itchy belly. :0)
